This is one of our longest cultural trips were tourists will have an opportunity to see and experience a variety of cultures in the pearl of Africa. This safari starts with a visit to the legendary Nakaima tree in Mubende, on your way to Kibale Forest Park the home of chimpanzees. Nakayma tree is over 400 years old, believed in local folklore to have the spirit of an ancient king of the land. You will also see local communities and conservation projects in addition to several species of Birds and Game in in Queen Elizabeth Park including; tree-climbing lions which could possibly be found in Ishasha section of the Park, buffaloes, leopards, warthogs and the hippos on Kazinga channel. The stunning  steep slopes Kyambura Gorge covered by forest will make it possible for viewing chimpanzees other primates like; the red-tailed monkey, black and white colobus and many bird species. You will continue to  Bwindi South where you will track Mountain Gorillas and visit the local communities before heading for Mgahinga Park. Visit the local Batwa community and take a forest walk guided by a batwa Guide. you will also visit Lake Mburo park before returning to Kampala for departure. At Lake Mburo park, you will see birds, hippo, buffalo, zebra and cultural communities. Back in Kampala trail Kabaka’s Trail; see the cultures of Buganda and see the preserved lifestyle of their ancient kings. See Naggalabi Kings’ Crown-ground, Kasubi Royal Tombs, Katereke Royal Prison, King Wamala’s tombs and other cultural visits. Visit Namugongo Martyrs’ shrine, in the East of Kampala City where 22 christian martyrs were burnt alive in the 19th century is also worth visiting. Visit Bahai Temple, the only Hindu temple on the African continent.

Day 1: Arrival

Arrive at Entebbe air port; meet with our staff for greeting and introduction thereafter transfer you to a hotel in Kampala for overnight.  O/N: Pope Paul hotel or Africana hotel or Sheraton. (BB)

Day 2: Kampala – Fort Portal

After breakfast leave Kampala for Fort portal via Mityana and Mubende through tea plantations of Kyenjojo to the land of `mountains of the Moon’ magic silhouette. En route you will branch off from Mubende to Nakayima Tree a legendary tree which is believed to have spirit of  a king and to have lasted for over 400 years. You will return to Mubende town for lunch after which  you head for Kibale to explore some crater lakes and carry on for a night in Kibale Forest Park for a jaunty sleep on an innate divan. Day 3: Fort Portal

After a morning break fast visit the “Kabarore” Royal palace and experience culture of the Batooro before visiting the Amere Ganyinamwiru (Amabere Cave) which are believed to be the breasts of the princes from the land, have an amazing view with culture before heading for a hiking village walk. O/N  CVK Resort or Mountains of the moon hotel (FB).

Day 4: Fort Portal — Queen Elizabeth national Park

Set off in the morning after breakfast to for Queen Elizabeth National park. take an evening game drive in search for game before retuning to the lodge for a rest. O/N Simba Safari Camp or Mweya safari Lodge (FB).

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Set off early in the morning for a game drive as you fabulous animals of the pearl, visit Katwe and buffaloes can never miss your sight here. Guinea fowls and other bird species, elephants, giraffes, and Kobs in their mating grounds can be viewed as there are chances seeing tree climbing lions on your rummage. After lunch take an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel as you view fauna at a closer range, hippos, other animals and several bird species will be seen as the get water to douse themselves. O/N Simba Safari Camp or Mweya safari Lodge (FB).

Day 6: Kyambura gorge – Buhoma

Visit Kyambura gorge in the morning and track chimps and monkeys as you take a view of the gorgeous Albertine rift valley model of scenery. Break for lunch and later quit Kasese for Buhoma. O/N Buhoma community camps (FB).

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking

Track gorillas after breakfast in the morning, this is the climax of the tour gorilla tracking can take 3 -9 hours on walking in the jungle before one returns to his/her accommodation, the jungle, precipitous landscape and rain may make the tour challenging but with a close encounter face-face with the largest primate of Africa is a remarkable experience you will ever have in life. O/N Buhoma community camps (FB).

Day 8: Bwindi — Mugahinga Park

Leave bwindi for Kisoro, stopping at Kanaba Gap to view the spectacular Virunga volcanoes and stunning terraced hills. Visit the natural, beautiful-looking Lake Mutanda, surrounded by the volcanoes, take a walk on the shores or continue directly to Mgahinga. O/N: Nkuringo Community Camp and Bandas (FB).

Day 9: Batwa trail

You will go for a forest walk guided by Batwa guide to explore the caves and experience the way of life of the Batwa pygmies. An entertainment evening with Batwa dance and drama would be a good experience. O/N Nkuringo Community Camp (FB).

Day 10: Bunyonyi

Leave Kisoro for Lake Bunyonyi a crater lake in Kabale and the deepest in the East African region. Take a boat cruise on the water to the Island, relax swim and enjoy the amazing view of the crater and the surrounding scenery. O/N Arcadia Bunyonyi cottages (FB).

Day 11: Kampala city cultural tour

Take a two days cultural tour of Kampala, the capital of Uganda, is a charming green city, spread over about 10 hills. Visit the Parliament, the museum and buildings of different religious faiths, the Namugongo Martyrs’ Shrine, and the colourful markets. Trail the ancient Kabaka’s (kings); see the cultures of Buganda and see the lifestyle of their ancient kings; see Naggalabi ancient Kings’ Crown-ground, Kasubi Royal Tombs, and other cultural visits organised by Heritage Trails Local Project. Namugongo Martyrs’ shrine, East of Kampala City where 22 christian martyrs were burnt alive in the 19th century is also worth visiting. Visit Bahai Temple, the only one in Africa; buy art crafts. Day 13: Departure

Transfer to Entebbe International Airport where you will board your flight back home and say goodbye the pearl of Africa meanwhile thinking of when to revisit and explorer the spectacular unobserved beauty of the pearl.
